2K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Electronic Services Specialist ServU FCU is looking for an outstanding employee who will join the team in our Electronic Services department.
This department is responsible for tasks and functions related to Electronic Services, including online banking support.
This candidate must have exceptional computer and customer service skills.
Responsibilities and Duties Answer members phone calls.
Provide answers to member questions and inquiries.
Resolve member concerns.
Research disputes and account problems.
Process adjustments as necessary.
Assist members with online and mobile access, including reset Online Banking passwords for members, unlock accounts, and provide assistance with passcode.
Understand online and mobile banking to explain products and benefits to members.
Understand how to read the history of an account - need to explain why a member received an NSF fee.
Oversee delivery, processing, posting and balancing of all ACH files by deadline, includes returning rejected items in a timely manner.
Processing of share draft file includes returning unpaid checks and processing checks returned from other financial institutions.
Monitor share draft accounts for kiting.
Work with branch office supervisors and internal auditor to resolve problems.
Process incoming and outgoing wires according to the Wire Policy, and processes and procedures set forth by ServU.
Research NSF checks and negative accounts.
Work with collection department to make arrangements for reimbursement of funds.
Close accounts as necessary.
Review checks deposited with the mobile app, review RDC applications, and process the RDC file at daily cutoffs.
Process CUNA files to post loan payments for disability and life insurance claims.
Send NACHA files to ACH Operator by deadlines.
Add and verify requests for ACH transfers between ServU and other financial institutions.
Process the file on the posting dates.
Work with Member Services on the electronic side of compromised and deceased accounts - shut down services as needed and clear outstanding items per member's instructions.
Complete check adjustments, late returns and other error adjustments.
Complete stop payment requests.
Process allocations.
Process tax levies and restraining notices.
Instruct branches on processing of protest letters for outside agencies.
Prepare reports for management as requested.
Work with online banking vendor to resolve issues, including services being down.
Maintain procedure manual for department use.
Maintain detailed knowledge of departmental procedures, policies and practices.
Review and make recommendations for changes as needed.
Comply with all safety and security policies, practices and procedures.
Report any unsafe or suspicious activities to your supervisor.
Communicate with management regarding department issues or concerns.
Assist in other job duties as assigned by management.
Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Performs related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications and Skills 2 year business degree or equivalent work experience Proficient with Excel Timelines and regularity of attendance are essential to the job.
Excellent computer skills Good grammar and communication skills Detail oriented High level of confidentiality Position requires extensive use of the computer and sitting for long periods of time.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
